“After a very successful run last year, Billy Youth Theatre returns to offer schools and youth groups the opportunity to stage their own production of this award winning show”
Billy Elliot has been inspiring audiences since the film first opened in cinemas in 2000. The heart-warming and uplifting story of a young boy who defies his family and community and battles to achieve his unlikely dream of becoming a dancer struck a chord with audiences worldwide.
The stage production has taken the world by storm, inspiring millions of theatre goers not only in London and Australia, but now on Broadway where it recently won 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
Full of life, laughter, spectacular dancing and unforgettable songs, Billy Elliot the Musical is an astonishing theatrical experience with the power to inspire students of any age to follow their dreams.
New versions of the script and score have been developed especially for youth performers by the original creative team behind both the film and stage production – and you can be amongst the first to perform it.
